WATER CRISIS

We have not updated this section for a while as the worst of the crisis is past – James Kleynhans Water Works has had considerable renovations and repairs and the east-west link is now in place. Borehole water is to be fed into Waainek Water Works for the high level areas of the west side, and a pump station has been added to make it possible to feed James Kleynhans water to the western high levels. Water use is still restricted but there is no longer a “day zero” crisis.
